Workshop 1: Finding Your People
In Finding Your People students will reflect on the quality and health of the friendships they’ve had before college through the lens of their present day values. By analyzing where relationships in the past flourished or failed, our facilitator will help them explore what brings them energy, what brings them joy, and how they can align their friendships to truly support these experiences and the values that they hold. Students will learn basic, actionable practices on healthy communication in relationships, with a specific focus on the imperative need for good, true friends.
Workshop 2: Confidence Through Transitions
In Confidence Through Transitions, we get honest with students about the difficulties of college life and the major risks that could stand in the way of them successfully completing their education. In the face of new and often difficult experiences, students need to understand their true strengths if they want to truly forge confidence and resilience. Knowing our strengths gives us the leverage to relax into the activities that come more naturally to us while utilizing a growth mindset and our available resources when discomfort and failure arises. With the help of our facilitator, students will learn how to forge that necessary confidence and resilience while learning a bit more about themselves.
