Elevate your community impact through board service.

At Prismatic, we know emotional intelligence drives professional success 2x more than strong technical skills and IQ combined. Our education programs are transforming the career development space, teaching young people the fundamentals of emotional intelligence to cultivate a new generation of responsive, ethical, truly impactful leaders.

Prismatic associate board members serve as ambassadors in the movement to help raise awareness and scale the impact across low-income communities nationally, ensuring high potential teens find inspiration, resilience, and empowerment in achieving their aspirations.

Who We Serve

Board Oversight Committee (2).png

We know that just 16% of children who grow up in poverty become economically successful adults. We intentionally invest in providing leadership development to low-income teens just 4-8 years away from entering the workforce, driving increased economic mobility to the communities that need it most.  All U.S. Prismatic students are 14-18 years old and reside in communities where 80% or more of the average household income falls below the poverty line. While Prismatic is headquartered in Chicago, IL, our virtual programming serves students across the country.

Additionally, through an international partnership funded by the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prismatic also serves young people ages 18-30 working to transform the economy in the Balkan region.

Prismatic’s Programs

Prismatic’s curriculum is backed by our team’s 10+ years of experience teaching Social-Emotional Learning to thousands of K-12 students annually. Our in-school and after-school programming complements academics by teaching the five national standardized Social-Emotional Learning skills that matter most in the workplace.

Through a uniquely student-centered approach, our programming serves as a launchpad for success in any field, focusing on empowering teens with the skills that drive advancement and adaptability in an ever-changing career landscape.

 • We develop the soft skills employers want to see and entrepreneurs need to have through research-driven workshops that build emotional intelligence

 • We help teens make educated decisions about their future post-high school through multi-faceted career exploration, ensuring alignment with their passion, skill set, and social impact goals

 • We close the access gap with introductions and candid conversation with high-status mentors in a variety of career paths

Since launching in 2017, Prismatic has served 300+ students in the US and beyond, expanding internationally through an economic development partnership with the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
