WHAT IS CIRCULATE?

Circulate promotes a community sharing economy through mutual aid pop-ups that enable urban dwellers to exchange, borrow, and lend infrequently used goods, reducing the burden on their wallet, storage space, and the planet. Circulate recognizes that everything we need is already in our community and individuals can promote a circular economy by sharing resources and developing community through those shared objects.

WHAT DOES THE RESEARCH SAY?

Survey Data

While convenience has skyrocketed, so has environmental destruction. Each object has a footprint associated with the manufacturing, shipping, and disposing of that good. Based on surveys conducted in the U.S., the majority of respondents would be open to sharing items. When broken down into categories, most respondents would be willing to share tools (91% - Yes, I would be willing to share tools).
