Prismatic’s 2022 Impact Report Summary
We are very pleased to share Prismatic’s 2022 Annual Report to highlight the progress and achievements of how our team and supporters have served youth in underrepresented communities. We are beyond grateful for the support we received in 2022 from our supporters, board members, instructors, and school partners. Despite challenges from previous years due to the pandemic, we were hyper-focused on rebuilding and facilitating in-person programming. The results were profound in our ability to support the emotional and social well-being of not only Chicago youth but communities both nationally and internationally.

The core work of our teams and supporters is to activate leadership potential in young people by integrating social-emotional skill-building into career development education. Our mission is driven by our recognition that academic achievement alone is insufficient for career advancement and fulfillment. We aim to prepare students to excel academically and become well-rounded professionals with skills such as communication, leadership, adaptability, and emotional intelligence.
Research and statistics guide our work, emphasizing the importance of emotional intelligence in leadership and the impact of poverty and poor mental health on youth. We are extremely dedicated to providing social-emotional learning programs to schools serving youth and teens in underserved and underrepresented communities.
Here are some of the highlights of the work we accomplished in 2022:
We Launched the Young Changemakers Program
In response to the urgent need for social-emotional learning programs for younger students, Prismatic developed the Young Changemakers program for elementary and middle school levels. We successfully secured partnerships with four Chicago schools, significantly increasing the number of students served from 41 in 2021 to over 300 in 2022.
Strengthened Our Organizational Systems for Increased Support
Alongside the expansion of programs, we also focused on strengthening our organizational systems and structures to ensure sustainable growth and impact. This included refining hiring processes, enhancing board engagement, and adopting new fundraising strategies. We also held successful fundraising events and professional development workshops to continue to build the resources to serve our students and their communities
We Expanded Our Support Nationally and Internationally
The report provides an overview of the communities served by Prismatic, both locally in Chicago and nationally and globally through virtual programs and partnerships. This included the expansion of our BOLD Fellowship program to Belgrade, Serbia, through an invitation from the US Embassy in Belgrade.

We have made significant progress in expanding their programs, strengthening their operations, and achieving positive outcomes for the students they serve.
