Prismatic in 2023: A Year of Progress and Achievement
As we reflect on 2023, the Prismatic would like to express our deepest gratitude to our supporters for helping us achieve remarkable milestones this year. Your unwavering dedication and generosity have been instrumental in our success, and we are excited to share some of the highlights of our progress last year.
Fundraising Triumphs
With the help of our community, we were able to amplify our fundraising efforts. We are thrilled to announce that our Year-end Campaign surpassed its $15,000 goal, raising a total of $15,762! This achievement reflects the collective commitment of our supporters to our mission.
Our events, including the Loteria and BINGO Night, were also successful, bringing in $572 and $3,526, respectively. These events not only contributed financially but also strengthened our community bonds and raised awareness about our cause.
Expanding Our Educational Reach
Prismatic proudly served 7 schools in 2023, including Cristo Rey, Esmeralda Santiago (Acero Charter School), Eugene Field Elementary, Langston Hughes, Monarcas Academy, William J. Onahan Elementary School, and Oscar Mayer Magnet School. Our work with these schools has been a testament to our commitment to educational excellence and opportunity for all.
Board and Leadership Growth
2023 saw significant growth and exciting changes in our leadership. We welcomed 7 new Board members (Miraj Chokshi, Ben Sanders, Taylor Morrison, Debbie Yaver, Bridget Freas, Carlos Marquez, and Bailey Dodds) and 3 new Associate Board members (Emma Campbell, Halie Goodall, and Derek Luna). Their contributions have been invaluable, particularly in supporting our events and campaigns.
We also appointed new roles within our Board of Directors, with Michelle Humes serving as President, Kate Wolin as Board Secretary, and Bridget Freas as Board Treasurer. These leadership changes have invigorated our organization with fresh perspectives and expertise.
Collaboration with Harvard Business Publishing
Our partnership with Harvard Business Publishing has been a cornerstone achievement this year. This collaboration has yielded significant outcomes in employee engagement and career exposure. Harvard Business Publishing employees found a renewed sense of purpose and connection through this partnership, particularly important in the era of remote work.
For our students, the partnership was eye-opening, exposing them to new career opportunities and inspiring them to explore uncharted paths.
