Our seasoned educators teach daytime and after school leadership programs that nurture a more engaged, emotionally intelligent student body eager to take control of their futures.

We transform classrooms into

personal development hubs.

  • Our Young Changemakers program lays the foundation for 4th-8th graders to observe their strengths, identify their interests, and grow their social-emotional skills in school and beyond.

  • Our IGNITE program advances teen visions for the future, as 9th-12th graders refine their strengths, consider their interests, and build up the soft skills needed for their futures.

  • Our PD Workshops team up with school faculty to reflect on ongoing classroom challenges while discovering ways to use social-emotional skills to support their day-to-day work.

Let’s illuminate potential in your students.

  • Phase 1

    Beginning: Discovering Your Authentic Self

Students explore their unique strengths through personality assessments and identify their "flow states" — moments when natural talents shine. Through workshops on building authentic confidence and managing social media mindfully, they develop self-awareness that becomes their foundation. “I learned that knowing your fear and weakness makes you a stronger person,” shares Denise, a Prismatic student.

  • Phase 2

Developing: Building Your Purpose & Resilience

Students craft personal mission statements connecting their values to meaningful impact. They learn practical mental-health strategies through our self-care series, explore time management aligned with their strengths, and practice recovering from disappointment — building resilience for life's challenges. Through boundary-setting workshops, they protect their energy while strengthening relationships.

  • Phase 3

    Expanding: Cultivating Leadership & Career

Students explore diverse leadership styles and learn that true leadership starts with emotional intelligence. Through our “Dream Big” vision and goal-setting series, they translate aspirations into achievable plans. Live panel discussions — from “Overcoming Adversity” to “Mission-Driven Careers” — connect classroom learning to real possibilities. “From the volunteers, I learned how to really connect with people,” says Jasmine.

  • Phase 4

Launching: Taking Action & Building Networks

The journey culminates with students mastering their elevator pitch, developing financial-literacy foundations, and engaging in speed-networking with professionals. Coffee chats with startup experts and “Day in the Life” sessions with industry leaders transform abstract career paths into tangible opportunities. Students leave with actionable plans and professional connections.

  • Phase 5

    Thriving: Applying Skills at Cultivate

At Cultivate - Prismatic's annual, intergenerational leadershio conference - students bring their learning to life — stepping into professional spaces alongside Chicago’s top leaders. Through mentorship and networking, they practice emotional intelligence, share their stories, and build authentic career connections. They leave with a deeper sense of purpose, stronger confidence in their abilities, and a clear understanding of how to turn their passions into impact.

“The burnout session was incredibly helpful for my staff and impactful for our school culture. During this time of year, my staff has typically struggled to cope and manage their workload, relationships, and personal stressors. This session offered concrete tools and techniques that were immediately applicable in the lives of a busy educator. My staff raved about the session and still do.

Jarell Lee, KIPP Academy School Founding School Leader, Prismatic School Partner

“The program is designed to ‘invigorate your students’ passions and kickstart their future career goals’ and it’s been an absolute pleasure to see that vision come to life through the Prismatic team, program volunteers, and most importantly, the high caliber students and all the effort they put into their personal development. It’s been a fantastic experience to be able to play a role in this program, and it's truly inspiring to see what everyone puts into it, and what everyone gets out of it.”

Brian Frances, Nature’s Fynd, Prismatic Volunteer Speaker

“Prismatic's session was exceptionally crafted and aligned to the goals of our summer program. Debra and Gigi are incredibly engaging facilitators and were able to help all of our participants break out of their shells. Our high school interns continually referenced what they had learned about their values, how they show up in the workplace, and their long-term goals throughout the entire summer.”

Paige Marshall, Harvard Ed Portal, Prismatic University Partner

“The way the students NEED an SEL period during the day, in my opinion is fantastic. It takes off the edge of being a high schooler for at least one hour and gets to clear their mind.

Pre, mid, and post session surveys are conducted by our teaching team, in addition to observational assessments by our managers. Additionally, our students are assessed at the beginning and end of programs. Finally, our school partners are regularly engaged for feedback throughout the session, and are provided a formal survey at the end of the program.
