Last year, your support brought Prismatic to 125 students at Perspectives IIT Math & Science Academy for one semester. By the end of it, more students were coming to class, participating, and treating each other with more kindness.

A semester was enough to show us what’s possible there. This year we’re returning for the full school year so students have the time they need to build resilience and relational intelligence that will stay with them long after graduation.

Our students learn how to recover from setbacks, work through conflict, speak up for themselves, and build real relationships with the people around them. These are the skills employers say they need most, and the ones young people have the fewest chances to practice.

  • How does the match work?
    A group of donors, listed above, has committed $20,000 to match gifts dollar for dollar. Your gift will be doubled until that $20,000 is used up, which means the earlier you give, the more likely it is to be matched.

  • Yes. Many employers match employee gifts, so it’s worth asking yours. If you’re interested in sponsorship or other corporate options, email debra@prismaticmovement.org.

    Employees at Aon, The Marketing Store, Cigna, Kirkland & Ellis and more doubled their gifts last year.

  • It covers a full school year of Prismatic programming at Perspectives IIT Math & Science Academy, taught during the school day for about 125 students. It also gives selected students the chance to attend Cultivate, our annual leadership conference, where they practice these skills alongside Chicago professionals.

  • These skills take time and trust to build, and one semester only gets you so far. Last year showed us the program works at Perspectives, and a full year lets students go deeper with an educator they already know.

  • You’ll receive an emailed receipt right away. From there, we’ll add you to our mailing list and share student stories and video updates from Perspectives throughout the year, so you can see what your gift is making possible.

  • Every dollar raised goes directly to serving students. If we pass our goal, the additional funds will bring Prismatic to more students in under-resourced Chicago schools.

  • Any amount raised will go to programming at Perspectives. We’re committed to this partnership and will scale the program to fit what we raise.

  • Yes. Prismatic is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so your gift is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, and your receipt can be used for tax purposes.
